What ages are the kits designed for?

All Little Roots kits are designed for ages 5–15. Every kit includes differentiated activities — a younger track (ages 5–9) with simpler projects and guided worksheets, and an older track (ages 10–15) with more advanced chemistry concepts and teen extension activities. One kit works for multiple kids at different levels.

What is physically included in a full kit?

Each full kit includes pre-measured organic herbs and botanicals for all three projects, plus all necessary tools and supplies (jars, bottles, labels, muslin bags, etc.). The curriculum is delivered digitally — a download link is sent to your email right after purchase so you can start reading while your kit ships. Everything arrives ready to use — no extra shopping required.

Can multiple children use the same kit?

Yes. The curriculum and worksheets are designed for classroom and co-op use. The physical herb quantities are portioned for one child doing all three projects, but the lesson guides and worksheets can be used with any number of children.

How many projects are in each kit?

Every kit includes three hands-on projects, each tied to a science lesson (botany, chemistry, history, or physiology). Projects take 30–90 minutes each depending on age and pace.

Are the herbs safe for children?

Yes. All herbs in Little Roots kits are 100% organic and carefully selected for safety with children. Every kit is designed by a Clinical Herbalist with children's safety as the top priority. If your child has known allergies or a medical condition, review the ingredient list for each kit before purchasing — it's listed on every kit page.

What is the difference between a Full Kit and Curriculum Only?

The Full Kit ($125) includes all the herbs, supplies, and tools needed for every project, plus a digital curriculum download link sent via email after purchase. The Curriculum Only ($50) is the same PDF for families who already have herbs at home. Both include the same lesson content.

Does the curriculum meet homeschool standards?

Little Roots curricula are unit studies that blend Botany, Chemistry, History, and Physiology. They are designed to complement any homeschool method — Charlotte Mason, Classical, eclectic, or project-based. They are not tied to a specific state standard, but the concepts covered align with common science and social studies benchmarks for elementary and middle school.

Can I use the curriculum without buying a kit?

Absolutely. The Curriculum Only PDF includes a full ingredients list so you can source herbs yourself. It's a great option if you already have an herbal apothecary at home.

How do I access my digital curriculum after purchase?

After checkout, you'll receive an email with a download link within a few minutes. The link is active for 24 hours — download and save it to your device right away.

What is an ESA and can I use it for Little Roots?

An Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is an Arizona program that provides families with public education funds to spend on approved educational resources — including curriculum and learning materials. Little Roots kits are ESA eligible and ClassWallet approved.

How does the ESA payment process work?

Fill out the ESA Request form on our Pay with ESA page. We'll send you a ClassWallet invoice within 24 hours. Once you approve the invoice through your ClassWallet account, we ship your kit. You do not pay out of pocket.

I'm not in Arizona. Can I still purchase?

Yes — full kits and curriculum can be purchased by anyone in the US via our standard checkout. The ESA program is currently Arizona-specific, but we ship nationwide.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal, all major credit and debit cards through PayPal's checkout, and ESA/ClassWallet for Arizona families.

How long does shipping take?

Full kits are made to order and ship within 3–5 business days via USPS. Delivery typically takes an additional 3–7 business days depending on your location. Curriculum PDFs are available immediately after purchase.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes! We ship to the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and most of Europe. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your postal code. Curriculum PDFs are available worldwide as instant digital downloads.

What if something in my kit is missing or damaged?

Email us at info@mysticbotanicaherbs.com within 7 days of receiving your order and we'll make it right — replacement, refund, or store credit.

How often do new kits come out?

New kits drop quarterly — one per season. Sign up for our newsletter to get early access before each launch.

Why are some kits marked "Coming Soon"?

We release new kits seasonally. Coming Soon kits are in production and will be available at our next quarterly launch. Join the newsletter to be notified the moment they drop.
